I said "yes" to being a candidate because I wanted to make a direct impact on patients in my area, and I love that LLS helps me make connections with local patients and their families. I knew LLS was the best way to help others because they not only raise funds for research and new treatments but also provide patients and their families with a wider support network to get them through tough times. On top of this, most patients diagnosed with leukemia are children, so I think it is incredibly important that we provide them with extra support so they can enjoy just being kids. 

Meet Samuel, our Honored Hero! Samuel is inspiring us while we fight against blood cancer and help raise funds to advocate for patients, treatments, and research. Samuel is 5 years old and currently in remission!
